Neighborhood Ambassador Program

NAP on-line applications are being accepted between March 18 and March 22, 2013.

Milwaukee Common Council’s Neighborhood Ambassador pilot Program provides employment opportunity for unemployed and underemployed Milwaukee residents with limited skills. Ambassadors will work to improve t...he cleanliness and attractiveness of the City’s business improvement districts (“BIDs”) as places to shop, dine and open/operate businesses, thereby stimulating economic development in BID neighborhoods. Responsibilities will include performing litter, graffiti and snow removal and other neighborhood clean-up activities. There will be two periods of employment for this pilot program lasting 6-weeks week each.

The program runs from April 2013 through September 2013. Participants must commit to working the entire 6 weeks. Neighborhood Ambassadors will earn $10.00 an hour; Crew Leaders will earn $13.00 per hour; and Neighborhood Environmental Ambassadors will earn 10.00 an hour.

Who Can Participate?

Adults City of Milwaukee residents ages 18 and older as of April 1, 2013. Ambassadors must be able and willing to work outdoors on their feet for full 8 hour days. Additionally, Ambassadors should be able to lift 50 lbs.
