Neighborhood Lift Program through Wells Fargo--announcement from Org. Talibah Mateen

Are your clients looking to become homeowners?

Invite your clients to an event designed to help them learn about available homes, down payment assistance and homeownership.

The NeighborhoodLIFT® event is coming to Milwaukee and your clients will find it an informative and helpful step on their way to homeownership. The event is sponsored by Wells Fargo in collaboration with local non-profit organizations.

At the event, your clients can find out if they qualify for the down payment assistance program and reserve your funds for 60 days — even if they haven’t yet found a property.

Your clients will be able to explore the possibilities of homeownership, helping them find out if it’s right for them. Not only will they receive information on becoming financially prepared to buy, they’ll have the chance to preview available properties in Milwaukee.
Your clients will find information and support at every turn:
  • Down payment assistance — Clients can apply for down payment assistance grants from local nonprofit organizations, available for a limited time to qualified homebuyers who purchase a home in selected neighborhoods.1 And grants can also be used with renovation financing.

    NOTE: Grants are available only to those who are approved for renovation or home financing and have household incomes equal to or less than 120% of area median income.  CLICK HERE for more information about the down payment assistance program.
     
  • Assess their readiness to buy a home — Clients can meet one-on-one with professionals to understand the home financing options that may be available. Participants are asked to schedule an appointment on the consumer website. (ask your clients to choose "Consumers" on wellsfargo.com/lift)

  • How to prepare for sustainable homeownership — Attendees will learn more about finding and financing a home and managing the financial responsibilities of homeownership at Wells Fargo’s video homebuyer education center.

  • Virtual Neighborhood Home Tours - Wells Fargo’s Affordable Home Tour® viewing center at the event will preview the features and prices of local properties.  CLICK HERE to request a listing to be added to the Affordable Home Tour®. The deadline to submit properties for the tour is 3:00pm on Thursday, May 22nd

Registrants should plan to arrive 30 minutes before a scheduled appointment. Appointments will be honored up to 15 minutes past the scheduled time. Those who miss an appointment will be worked into the schedule at the next available time. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is strongly recommended in order to guarantee the ability to guarantee the ability to meet one-on-one with a professional.

Wells Fargo team members are not eligible to participate in the NeighborhoodLIFT Down Payment Assistance Program. This limitation also applies to a team member's immediate family, including spouses and dependent children, where the team member would have beneficial ownership of the property that was the subject of the DAP.
The NeighborhoodLIFT program is a collaborative program of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Wells Fargo Foundation, and NeighborWorks America, an independent nonprofit organization..
Although Wells Fargo is the sponsor of the NeighborhoodLIFT program, you may seek financing for the remaining balance of the home purchase from any qualified lender who accepts the NeighborhoodLIFT down payment assistance program.
