The Center for Self-Sufficiency Program office opens in downtown Milwaukee

The Center for Self-Sufficiency announced recently that its Program Staff has moved to 728 N. James Lovell Street in Milwaukee, to enhance its programs and services for participants. Its program offices, now co-located in the Community Advocates building, are centrally located downtown and easily accessible via public transportation for individuals throughout Milwaukee to attend programs and access services.

“Housing our programs at this location will enable us to better serve our clients and offer them more resources.

Now, we will be able to offer a resource room for those seeking employment and training to receive onsite support.

The Resource Room is on the 1st floor, with staff offices and conference rooms on the 3rd floor.

The relocation also makes our programs easily accessible to more people because it is in the heart of the community and has more space,” said Angela Turner, CEO, Center for Self-Sufficiency.

The Center for Self-Sufficiency offers educational programs in the areas of teen pregnancy prevention and healthy relationship/ marriage as well as offender reentry and employment services.

The new Resource Room at the Community Advocates facility will be available for Center for Self-Sufficiency and Community Advocates program participants to access job readiness services to assist them in identifying and applying for jobs as well as partner agency programs provided by Milwaukee County Child Support Services and Community Advocates.

This convenient space will give participants a broader reach to available resources and practical tools for development.   

The organization’s administrative and evaluation services will remain at its current location at 4465 N. Oakland Avenue.
