There are currently 1000 positions available for individuals with a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). In an attempt to satisfy this need, MATC is offering a 10-week Truck Driving Program. Most truckers their first year out earn an average of $40,000 a year. After a few years, that salary jumps to $50,000-$60,000 annually. To enter the program you must be 18 years old, have a high school diploma/GED/HSED, medical exam, drug test, valid DL, & a clean driving record (no more than 5pts in the last 5 years).
