Port Washington Road 8/11/12

All,

Upcoming project activities includes shifting work from Stage I to Stage II.  On Saturday the contractor will have a street sweeper out to clean the new pavement in preparation for switching traffic.  Between Sunday night and Monday early morning the barricades and drums will be moved to the West side of the roadway.  There will be no Northbound traffic allowed between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. and Olive street.  Please note that there will be no access to North Port Washington Rd. from Olive St. during this stage.  There will be one Southbound travel lane available between the north project limits (by Home Depot) and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.  Once we have the traffic control switched the contractor will begin saw cutting the pavements and then start breaking and removing the roadway.

With the cleaning and traffic switch this weekend please do not park vehicles within the work zone so we can finish the first stage safely and quickly.

Thank You,

Casey Wierzchowski, P.E.
Senior Project Engineer
