Mental Health & Stigma Workshop is created by UWM students for UWM students to help combat everyday struggles and mental health concerns.

About this event

Are you looking for strategies for self care?

Do you want to learn how to be a good ally to someone with a mental health diagnosis?

Or, would you like to learn how to de-stigmatize your language about mental health conditions?

If the answer is yes to any of those questions, then our Mental Health & Stigma Workshop is right for you!

In partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Latinx Student Union, 5-Points Neighborhood Association, Milwaukee Behavioral Health Department, and CCHD are sponsoring the Mental Health & Stigma Workshop. Presented by Jeremy Triblett (MBHD), you will learn about mental health challenges and how to use de-stigmatizing language. This workshop is an instructional, seminar based event that will not only instruct you about mental health conditions, but will teach appropriate strategies for your own coping. You will leave this session feeling understood, validated, and equipped to go out into the world and make a difference in the lives of yours and others. To make this event as inclusive as possible, we will have ASL and Spanish interpretation.

Free food and drinks will be supplied!

Disclaimer: This workshop is for instructional purposes only, it does not replace any current mental health services you may be receiving.
