Valentine's Day: When Love Becomes Dangerous
Dear Sisters,
We are inviting you to join us for our upcoming Sisters Talk: When Love Becomes Dangerous – Protecting Ourselves and Our Sisters.
This is more than a conversation. It is a sacred space for truth, awareness, healing, and protection. As recent tragedies remind us, domestic violence is not distant — it is affecting women in our own community. We believe education, sisterhood, and safe dialogue can save lives.
We need you in the room.
Your presence matters. Your voice matters. And someone you know may need this space more than you realize.
✨ Call to Action: Register and Bring a Friend.
https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/WqRMne3rQ7OyV1vCDmj1Tg
Invite a sister, a daughter, a coworker, a neighbor — someone who could benefit from a compassionate, confidential, and empowering conversation.
Together, we will:
• Learn how to recognize warning signs
• Understand why leaving can be complicated and dangerous
• Discuss practical safety planning
• Strengthen our commitment to protecting one another
This will be a trauma-informed, peer-supported session. Cameras are optional. Confidentiality is honored. Healing is centered.
Please register today and share the registration link with at least one woman in your circle.

Because love should never cost us our safety.
Because silence protects abuse.
Because we are stronger together.
With care and sisterhood,

Dr. King in my Life
Greetings,
In carrying forth the mission of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrating His Legacy, 5Points has agreed to tape individuals presenting how Dr King shows up in their lives both past and present.
For example, "in the past, the main mode of transportation to school was to walk. Dr. King took action when Ms. Parks was arrested for not giving up her seat on the bus. There was the "Montgomery Bus Boycott" that lasted more than 380 days.
Due to the united front and refusal to take the bus until changes came that allowed seating in the front of the bus and preferential seating for all, the boycott came to an end with the company conceding.
Dr. King shows in my life regarding the bus as I now have several options. I have the yellow bus, the city bus, cabs, ubers, and have preferential seating for all within certain age and disability categories.
Click on this link to sign up for a taping. https://forms.gle/bx9GHSu3JpvZPsJJ7
